Premiers Demand Bail Reform in Letter to Trudeau After Killing of OPP Officer

OTTAWA—Canada’s premiers are unanimously urging Ottawa to take “immediate action” to strengthen the country’s bail system.

The premiers from all 13 provinces and territories signed a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, dated Friday, that says the time for action is now and “our heroic first responders cannot wait.”
