People’s Party founder and leader Maxime Bernier says he’s considering running in a Western riding for the next federal election.

The resident of Saint-Georges, Quebec has run in his home riding of Beauce in every federal election since 2006. He won with more than 50 percent of the vote as a Conservative candidate in 2006, 2008, 2011, and 2015. Under the PPC banner, he placed second with 28 percent of the vote in 2019 and 18 percent in 2021.
