Over 500 Rohingya Flee Malaysian Detention, 6 Killed on Highway

More than 500 Rohingya migrants from Burma fled a Malaysian detention center on April 20, with six being killed on a highway while fleeing, a Malaysian official said.

Malaysian immigration chief Khairul Dzaimee Daud said a total of 528 Rohingya escaped from the Sungai Bakap Temporary Immigration Depot in Penang after breaking down doors and barrier grills.
