Ontario’s education minister says he will introduce legislation to remove a trustee from the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDB) if he doesn’t pay his $11,000 share of a controversial Italy trip taken by four board members in 2024.

Education Minister Paul Calandra’s office told Global News on June 14 that three of the four trustees have repaid what they owe, but that one trustee, Mark Watson, has not responded to attempts from the government to contact him, nor has he repaid his share.
