No-one Will Mourn Iran’s ‘Oppressive’ Leader: Prime Minister

Australia has limited options to rescue citizens stuck in Iran, the prime minister says, after U.S.-Israeli strikes killed the Islamic republic’s leader and left the Middle East region on high alert.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said no one would mourn Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has served as Iran’s supreme leader since 1989 and has been accused of orchestrating numerous human rights abuses.
