Nearly 200,000 People in Thailand Hospitalized Because of Air Pollution

Nearly 200,000 people in Thailand were admitted to hospitals with pollution-related respiratory illness last week as heavy smog covered vast areas of the country, the Health Ministry stated on March 10.

More than 1.3 million people in Thailand have fallen sick since January because of dangerously high levels of air pollution, Radio Free Asia reported, citing the ministry.
