The NDP has released the official rules for its leadership race to replace NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, including requirements to gather specific numbers of signatures from supporters in various regional, racial, and LGBT groups.

Candidates must obtain 500 signatures by members in “good standing” of the NDP, the party’s July 25 Rules Governing Leadership Contest report says. A minimum of 10 percent of a candidate’s signatures must be from New Democrats aged 25 or younger.
