Mexico has made a “very interesting” proposal of matching U.S. tariffs on China, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Feb. 28.

It came after Mexican Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard held trade talks with U.S. officials in Washington ahead of new U.S. tariffs on Mexican goods.
