Man Who Killed Ex-partner’s Sister and Her Children in Fire Guilty of Murder
Emergency services in Westbury Road, Bradford, following a house fire where four people, including three children, died. Two girls aged nine and one, and a five-year-old boy, were taken to hospital but all died from their injuries, while a 29-year-old woman also died at the scene. A man who killed his former partner’s sister and her three children by setting fire to their house in a botched revenge attack has been found guilty of murder.
Sharaz Ali was “motivated by jealousy and fuelled by drink and drugs” when he started the “catastrophic” blaze at the home of Bryonie Gawith and her three young children in the early hours of August 21 last year.
