A 32-year-old man has been charged with a hate crime after allegedly allegedly crashing a vehicle into the gates of Brisbane’s main synagogue, in what police describe as a wilful attack on a place of worship.

The incident occurred about 7:16 p.m. on Feb. 20 when a black Toyota Hilux utility allegedly struck and knocked down the gates of the synagogue in Brisbane’s CBD before leaving the scene.
