Lawyer for Father of Murdered BC Girl Denies Client Brought Gun to Ali Verdict

A lawyer representing the father of a murdered 13-year-old girl says the man did not bring a gun into a Vancouver courtroom eight weeks ago, on the day Ibrahim Ali was convicted of the killing.

Brock Martland, who represents the father, says it’s an “unfounded proposition” that has been repeated several times by Mr. Ali’s lawyers, who want to exclude the man from post-trial proceedings on safety grounds.
