Labor MP Dan Repacholi and Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie have jointly called on the federal government to accelerate the implementation of a national firearm registry (NFR) for Australia.

This comes following the deadly shooting of two police officers in Victoria’s rural town of Porepunkah on Aug. 26, which sent shockwaves across the country.
