Heavy Rain Hits Southern NSW: Over 700 Calls For Help

SYDNEY—Heavy rainfall has caused flash flooding in NSW’s South Coast region with concerns some river levels could peak, further saturating some communities.

Up to 200 millimetres (7.9 inches) of rainfall hit a number of towns including Moruya, Nowra, and Captains Flat over the past 24 hours, with up to 300 millimetres of rain falling in some areas.
