Labour’s plans to halt oil and gas development will starve the UK of energy and increase its dependence on imports, a leading oil and gas producer has warned.

Gilad Myerson, executive chairman of oil and gas operator Ithaca Energy, told the BBC, “It’s impossible to just turn off a switch and imagine we can live in a world without hydrocarbons.”
