It would be Abdias Nascimento because he represented so much for my race and he helped in the creation of the “quilombismo.” Quilombismo is a theoretical and creative response to racism in our country that has kept the blacks for centuries, outside the political and economic power.
If I could spend an hour with any living person, it would be Ivan Lendl. He is a six-time Wimbledon champion. I would ask him about his ability to keep his cool on the court and secondly, how he was able to psyche himself to play well. Lastly, I would like to ask him about how he was able to keep his energy levels at such great heights during fierce competition and to emerge victorious, beating the odds always.
Neil Garner is my favorite writer. He’s very talented; he can write across a wide range of genres. He seems like a person you would want to know.
I’d spend an hour with Buzz Aldrin and see what his opinion was of the moon, seeing as he was not the first, but the second man on the moon.
It would be Donald Trump. He’s my idol; he’s a successful businessman I really admire. I watched “The Apprentice” and read his book “Trump: Think Like a Billionaire.” I wish I could chat and spend time with him to learn from his business strategies and leadership qualities.
Bono of U2. He is great musician and helps the poor. I went to a concert of U2 twice. It was amazing. Dancing all night, it totally took me away. Bono radiates something, he is just alive. When I was on vacation in Capetown, but also in Cambodia and Vietnam, the situation of the poor people really got to me and I wanted to help them. That an artist makes an effort to help those people is admirable. Also Sting. I would like to help together with them to give from the rich to the poor in Capetown.
I would like to spend my hour with Stefanos Korkolis. He is one of the best Greek music composers. He wrote the anthem for the Special Olympics; he is an important part of the Greek music stage and has collaborated with many artists – Greek and foreign – and has performed orchestral concerts in many foreign countries too. I would like to know more about his personal life and his way of thinking.
