Rescue crews are ready to pluck people from floodwaters in far north Queensland as levels continue to rise above floorboards with more downpours forecast.
Heavy rain is impacting areas of the Herbert and Lower Burdekin and North Tropical Coast, extending from Mackay to south of Cairns.
