A fully vaccinated Queensland woman has tested positive for the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP virus, while visiting her family in the Far North Queensland town of Mareeba.

Public health alerts have been issued for the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and locations in Far North Queensland.
