Morris Chang, Founder of Taiwan Chip Manufacturer TSMC, Retires

Morris Chang, founder, chairman, and CEO of the world’s largest contract chipmaker, TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company), announced his retirement at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting on June 5.

He established the firm in 1987 and pioneered the idea of manufacturing chips for chip design firms without their own factories.
