Formal complaints of sexual misconduct at the University of Sydney have more than doubled since 2022, revealing a growing number of victims and bystanders willing to take formal action.

According to the university’s 2024 Sexual Misconduct Report, 55 formal complaints were lodged last year. That marks an 83.3 percent increase from 30 complaints in 2023, and a 139 percent spike from just 23 in 2022.
