Dendy Cinema Pty Ltd has been hit with a $19,800 penalty by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) over concerns it failed to clearly display the full ticket price, including unavoidable booking fees, during online sales.

The regulator issued an infringement notice to Dendy, alleging the company breached Australian Consumer Law by not presenting the total price as a single, upfront figure early in the ticket purchasing process—a practice commonly referred to as “drip-pricing.”
