The defence has wrapped up its submissions in the trial of former RCMP officer William Majcher, arguing no evidence exists that the former police inspector had criminal intent to threaten an alleged real estate fraudster on behalf of the Chinese regime.
The prosecution concluded its case before B.C. Supreme Court Justice Martha Devlin in Vancouver on April 22. Majcher has pleaded not guilty to a charge of “engaging in preparatory acts to commit an offence” under the Security of Information Act.
