Cowichan Tribes is calling on Ottawa to help it clean up an illegal dump site polluting a river on its land in Duncan, B.C., a request that B.C. Conservative Leader John Rustad says shows a “double standard” by the reserve’s leadership.
Cowichan Tribes say federal regulations have prevented them from bringing a stop to illegal dumping and are asking for the government’s assistance to address the issue.
