Costco Canada has issued three voluntary nationwide recalls for products sold in its stores.
The retail is asking consumers to check if they own the affected toaster oven, children’s ride-on go-kart, or packaged croissants, and to comply with the recall instructions.
Children’s Go-Kart
At least one injury has been reported in connection with the Aston Martin Formula One 36V Go-Kart, which is being recalled due to a faulty accelerator pedal.
Go-kart manufacturer Hunter Products USA is warning in its recall notice that a defective accelerator pedal could cause the go-kart to accelerate suddenly once the battery is connected, posing a severe risk of injury.
Six incidents had been documented as of July 21, with at least one injury.
Aston Martin Formula One 36V Go-Karts were sold at Costco warehouses and Costco.ca between November 2025 and June 2026.
Anyone who purchased the product is asked to “immediately stop” using it, the company said in its advisory.
Customers can contact Hunter Products USA to request a no-cost repair kit, which the company said can be used to fix the go-cart with standard household tools.
“The repair kit also includes details regarding the mandatory self-check that must be performed at startup to ensure the continued safe operation of the Aston Martin Formula One 36V Go-Kart following the repair,” the company said. “The self-check must be completed prior to further operation.”
Customers also have the option of returning the go-kart to Costco for a full refund.
Panasonic Toaster Oven
A Panasonic toaster oven is being recalled due to a potential shock and fire hazard.
The recall affects NB-G205 stainless steel electric models with inadequate insulation on the power cord, which could in turn cause electric shocks or potentially trigger a fire, according to the advisory.
No injuries have been reported to the company, but the recall is urging all consumers to stop using the product immediately.
Customers can contact the company for guidance on returns and refunds, or they can return the product to any Costco warehouse customer service desk to receive a full refund.
Alfa Croissants
Certain lots of Alfa Croissants are being recalled across the country due to possible mould contamination.
The recall affects cocoa cream filled Alfa Croissants sold in packages of 24, with lot codes 10726 and 08626, according to the advisory. They were sold at Costco Business Centres or on Costco Businesscentre.ca between June 2026 and July 2026.
“Please do not consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the Alfa Croissants that are being recalled,” the notice says.
