CDC Supporting Efforts to Withdraw Americans Affected by Congo Ebola Outbreak

The health agency said it has mobilized response efforts following an Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on May 17 that it was coordinating efforts to withdraw a “small number” of Americans affected by an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.

In a statement, the agency said it was “supporting interagency partners who are actively coordinating the safe withdrawal of a small number of Americans who are directly affected by this outbreak.”
