Prime Minister Mark Carney denied a report that the Liberal government is considering proroguing Parliament if it obtains a majority through the upcoming byelections.

“It has never even entered my thinking, the possibility of that. So I couldn’t have been more surprised to see a suggestion that that was under consideration at all,” Carney told reporters in Quebec on March 31.
