Canada Post has earmarked nearly half a million additional homes nationwide to shift from door-to-door delivery to community mailboxes in 2027, as part of its efforts to regain financial stability.

The Crown corporation has announced an additional 485,000 addresses are set to be converted next year as part of its ongoing transformation to eliminate household delivery. The newly included postal codes are in addition to the 136,000 addresses the agency disclosed in April, according to a June 11 press release.
