Canada is back at the negotiating table in talks to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) after several months on the sidelines of the negotiations.

Foreign Minister and lead negotiator Chrystia Freeland arrived in Washington on Aug. 28 to restart talks, cutting short a trip to Europe after the United States announced it had worked out a bilaterial free trade deal with Mexico the day before.
