A woman is recovering after an altercation with a man in a Calgary neighbourhood resulted in his death, an incident the police are describing as a “clear-cut case of self-defence.”
Shahbaz Ahmed, 48, “lured” a woman in her 30s to a residence in the city’s Edgemont neighbourhood under the guise of a property viewing on the afternoon of Jan. 9, Calgary Police Homicide Unit acting Staff-Sgt. Scott Guterson said in a Jan. 13 press conference.
