Lawyers for Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Tuesday filed paperwork seeking to contest the tight runoff election results that saw his left-wing opponent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva named the winner.

Bolsonaro wants the electoral authority to invalidate the votes cast on some of the country’s electronic voting equipment according to filings with Brazil’s electoral authority, the Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) (pdf).
