U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Nov. 6 that the amount of humanitarian aid for Gaza will “significantly expand” in the days ahead as he wrapped up a four-day diplomatic tour to the Middle East in a bid to de-escalate tensions following the outbreak of the Israel–Hamas conflict.

Mr. Blinken met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara, Turkey on Nov. 6 to discuss efforts to boost aid into Gaza and the need to minimize civilian casualties and prevent the conflict from spreading regionally, according to a U.S. State Department statement.
