President Joe Biden announced on Sept. 18 that the United States will provide $11 million in humanitarian aid to support the people of eastern Libya as they recover from devastating floods that killed thousands.

“The people of eastern Libya have shown tremendous resilience in the face of this disaster, and we stand with them in their efforts to recover and rebuild,” President Biden said in a statement released by the White House.
