Australia’s Chief Medical Officer Calls COVID testing on Chinese Travellers Unncessary

Australia doesn’t need to impose additional travel requirements for people coming from China because domestic vaccination rates and local surveillance systems are strong, according to the government’s chief medical officer.

The Albanese government moved on New Year’s Day to require people travelling from China to test negative for COVID-19 within 48 hours of departure.
