The Australian Federal Police (AFP) has warned of the dangers of international terrorist organisations tricking the public into believing they are charities in order to solicit donations to fund terror activities.

The warning was made as the AFP Joint Threat Financing Group (JTFG) announced it was aware of terrorists and terror groups that may use fake credentials to convince donors to send money offshore.
