Australian States Dig in Over Gonski Education Reforms

Four states that struck deals with Labor before the election—New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Education minister Christopher Pyne says the Federal Government will abandon Labor’s school funding model after 2014 and negotiate new agreements with all states and territories.

But the four states that struck deals with Labor before the election – New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania – insist that their six year funding agreements should be honoured.
