Acting Sergeant Beau Barrett, 37, may need to wait months before he faces trial for a “sling tackle” at Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station last year that left Daniel Peterson-English allegedly with facial injuries and unconscious.

The Melbourne Magistrates Court held a three-day committal hearing after Acting Sergeant Barrett was charged with assault and recklessly causing injury.
