Australia’s annual inflation slowed down in the December, sparking hopes the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) could consider an interest rate cut.

Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data showed trimmed mean annual inflation, which excludes items extremely price volatile items, moderated to 3.2 percent in the 12 months to December, down from 3.6 percent in September.
