Australia Police Destroy 3 Tones of Seized Weapons

Three tonnes of firearms, including rifles, pistols and shotguns, will be destroyed in the Australian state of  New South Wales (NSW) this month after being seized by police in criminal investigations or handed in by the community.

The haul of 2809 firearms, weighing 3228kg, included pistols, rifles, shotguns, military firearms, homemade firearms, gel blasters, air pistols and air rifles, NSW Police said on Monday.
