Alberta Reduces Inspection Stops for Oilfield Rigs in New Agreement

Alberta has signed an agreement to minimize inspection stops at weigh stations for select oilfield service rigs.

The province has established an updated agreement with the Canadian Association of Energy Contractors (CAOEC) that will now allow select oilfield service rigs to bypass repeated inspection stations, Alberta Transportation Minister Devin Dreeshen announced at a press conference on June 5.
