Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has announced the creation of a provincial police force and the identity of its newly appointed chief.
Former deputy Calgary police chief Sat Parhar has been selected to head the newly established Alberta Sheriffs Police Service which will be based in Calgary, Smith announced at a July 2press conference.
