A young boy from Germany had to be rescued by firefighters on Friday, Dec. 15, after he got himself locked in a safe.
With no other choice, the family had to call the fire brigade to rescue the boy.
Over the course of three hours, the firefighters tried many unsuccessful combinations. During that time, the firefighters pumped oxygen through a crack into the safe for the boy so he wouldn’t suffocate.
Just as a specialist team was about to break the safe open, someone managed to crack the code and save the boy. The Berlin Fire Department said the boy was unharmed, according to a statement.
Berlin firefighter Thomas Kirstein said it was a happy ending and a super early Christmas present, reported Sky News.
A team of four firefighters used sunflower oil to help the young boy slide out.
