46 People to Hospital After Suspected Carbon Monoxide Leak at Winnipeg Hotel

WINNIPEG—Dozens of people were rushed to hospitals in Winnipeg after extreme levels of carbon monoxide were detected at a hotel, emergency officials said.

John Lane, chief of Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, said in total 52 people, including two children and hotel staff, as well as a dog, were evacuated from a Super 8 on Portage Avenue at about 10 a.m. Tuesday.
