Calgary police have laid more than 100 charges against 17 individuals, including nine youths, believed to be responsible for dozens of break and enters in that city over the past year.

Police issued a warning in June about an increase in late-night break and enters happening at residential properties between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., noting homeowners were often asleep at the time.
