NEW YORK—Demand for real estate for the ultra-rich appears to be making a comeback. An unusual sight even for those shopping on the high end has come on the market: a landmark listing of $90 million for a luxurious mansion at 4 East 80th Street. The property can also be rented out for a whopping $210,000 per month, according to The New York Times.

The mansion was one of three dwellings built in the early 1900s by the late discount store billionaire Frank Winfield Woolworth for his daughters. It is a 35-foot-wide French Gothic townhouse with a limestone facade, boasting 18,000 square feet of space, reported The New York Times.

The seven-floor dwelling is equipped with an elevator and an enormous 35-foot-wide library. It has a formal dining room with a 50-seating capacity, a parlor floor with 14-foot-high ceilings, 10 bedrooms, 11 and a half bathrooms, and three kitchens.

The family of the late health and fitness entrepreneur, Lucille Roberts, has put the lavish residence up for sale with Paula Del Nunzio of Brown Harris Stevens.

According to NY.Curbed.com, the highest single residential sale in New York City to date was $53 million for the Harkness Mansion at 4 East 75th Street; that sale took place at the peak of the property boom. The website states,“There is no way … that 4 East 80th Street is going to sell for $90 million.” The mansion has been advertised as a rental property since January.
