In a case Missouri police say is unlike any they’ve seen before, a mother was arrested after shaving a 9-year-old neighbor’s head and scribbling on his forehead.
The apparently vengeful act after her 9-year-old daughter returned home complaining that the boy had touched her inappropriately, KMOV reported.
The Eureka, Mo., girl was spending the night with her friend, the boy’s sister, at the Legend Terrace Apartment Complex. The boy walked into their room and pulled the girl’s hair. When she sat up, the boy said, he had accidentally hit her in the chest.
Next day, the 34-year-old mother went into the neighbor’s house after learning about this from her daughter, pulled the boy into her apartment, shaved his head, and wrote “pervert” on his forehead with a felt tip pen.
“She just distinctively went into beast mode, you know? She should have got the other kids parents involved,” said Bill Constantin.
Police say the mother could now face assault charges on a minor.
“Gosh, I can’t believe that she would do that. That is just terrible,” said Marilyn Clark.
St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office will handle the case.
“She certainly admitted to the accusations and obviously regrets her decision,” said Lieutenant Dave Wilson.
