SANTA ANA (CNS)—A woman was killed and the driver of the car she was in was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, after the car crashed into a parked Santa Ana police SUV, a police corporal said Nov. 21.

The woman was publicly identified on Nov. 22 as Selina Resendiz Yanez, 25, of Santa Ana, according to Supervising Deputy Orange County Coroner Inez Chavez. She was the passenger in the crashed car and pronounced dead at Orange County Global Medical Center.

The two officers inside the SUV suffered some pain and were taken to an area hospital as a precaution, said Cpl. Anthony Bertagna of the Santa Ana Police Department.
