A 46-year-old woman was taken into custody after she drove her car down a flight of stairs on Feb. 22 in Perth, Western Australia.

Police have charged the woman who drove her red Honda Civic into Perth’s entertainment precinct at Elizabeth Quay around 6:40 p.m on Thursday, reported Guardian Express.

A two-year-old child was still in the car when the woman got out and started walking away from the scene, leaving the car stuck on the staircase.

When the police came, she allegedly punched and kicked one of the officers as they tried to arrest her. It took three officers to restrain the woman with one officer receiving scratches to the face, as well as some bruising.

It is believed that the woman was intoxicated by drugs or alcohol, reported Perth Now.

She has been charged with assaulting a public officer and appeared in court on Feb. 23, reported Guardian Express.

In a similar bizarre driving incident earlier this month, a Queensland man drove his car on the wrong side of the road into incoming traffic, reported the Brisbane Times.

The man then rammed his Ford Territory into a police car and tried to reverse his car up the stairs of the Queensland Police Service Headquarters in Brisbane’s central business district. The man eventually parked his car outside the headquarters building. Police also suspect the man was intoxicated with some substance. He was taken into police custody.
