Police are urgently trying to locate an overseas traveller who fled from a quarantine hotel in Perth without completing COVID-testing requirements.
Jenny Maree D'ubios was last seen walking on Adelaide Terrace in Perth about 10.20am on December 26.
The 49-year-old breached her quarantine requirements and absconded from the hotel.
“Jenny is deemed a risk as she arrived in Western Australia from overseas and has not yet completed her 14-days quarantine or COVID testing requirements,” police said in a statement.
She is described as 155cm tall, with fair skin, a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.
D'ubois was last seen wearing a black dress and carrying a case and a number of bags.
“Any person found to be assisting Jenny in relation to her quarantine breach will be subject to investigation and potentially faces significant penalties under the Emergency Management Act,” police said.
People are advised not to approach her, but to contact police on 131 444.
The news comes as six new coronavirus cases were reported in Western Australia, all of them in hotel quarantine.
Four women and two men tested positive with all cases related to overseas travel, WA’s Department of Health said on Saturday.
It brings the number of active cases in the state to 13.
The total number of COVID-19 infections recorded in Western Australia is 854, with 832 people having recovered.
A total of 452 people visited coronavirus clinics in the state on Christmas Day.
