Southern California fire officials say a woman has died and five people were injured after a large eucalyptus tree fell onto a wedding party taking pictures.
The Los Angeles Times reports that one of the injured is a 4-year-old girl listed in critical condition due to head trauma.
Several people were trapped after the tree toppled Saturday in Whittier at Penn Park.
Officials say four of the injured suffered scrapes and bruises.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials say at least one person died and five others were injured after a large tree fell on a wedding party in the city of Whittier.
The department says the tree fell Saturday afternoon and that two of those injured are in serious condition. The other three suffered minor injuries.
City News Service reports fire officials dispatched at least six ambulances to the scene. Fire crews are still at the scene.
