A woman from a city in Massachusetts was arrested after she allegedly shot and killed a motorist for cutting her off after which she bragged about it on Facebook, police said.

Graciela Paulino, 20, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 15, in Lowell for the alleged murder of 34-year-old construction worker Marc Devoe, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
The construction worker and his coworker were returning to work after a lunch break when he noticed that a car he had cut in front of earlier was trailing him. He quickly alerted his coworker and told him: “I think we have a problem,” reported Lowell Sun.

In less than two hours, Devoe was dead. The 34-year-old was killed by a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Devoe’s coworker, Brian Daigle, told police that after they noticed Paulino following them, they decided to pull up in a parking lot near their construction site where an argument ensued. The two drivers were “yelling back and forth at each other,” reported Fox News, citing a police report.

Daigle noticed the 20-year-old was carrying something on the left side of her waistband. In a bid to stop the argument and leave, Daigle said to Devoe: “C’mon forget it, it’s just a girl.” The pair then left.

After driving off, they noticed that Paulino was still following them, so they pulled over once more. They got out of their car at Hale Street Bridge in Lowell, according to the news station.

“The female slowed her car down and he heard one gunshot as she drove past,” Daigle told police, reported Lowell Sun.

“I’ve been hit,” Devoe said as he returned to his car and attempted to chase after her. But he ended up crashing into a road barrier instead.

The 34-year-old was rushed to the hospital by paramedics who arrived at the scene at 12:39 p.m. Devoe was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital at 1:15 p.m.

Police found a post on Paulino’s Facebook about two hours after she allegedly shot Devoe. In the post she wrote: “Tried to warn Em tried to tell Em told Em top that you my son don’t make me spank you,” reported the newspaper, citing the police report.

She was arrested later that night around 11 p.m. without any incident.

“We believe, at this point, that this is a random incident as a result of a possible road-rage incident,” Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan told reporters at a press conference announcing Paulino’s arrest, reported the newspaper.

The prosecution attorney requested Paulino be held without bail and that her bail from a previously pending case be revoked. She was previously charged for assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, assault and battery and disorderly conduct, reported Lowell Sun.

She is scheduled to appear in court on March 14.
