It is still tight at the top of the Hebe Haven Winter Saturday Series standings in the IRC Division and HKPN.

IRC’s Mojito and Vixen are separated by the narrowest of margins, while in HKPN Tara faltered, giving Bits & Pieces and Goddess a winning chance after the races on Saturday Nov 30.

IRC

In IRC, Mojito won Race-5 from Vixen, but in Race-6 Mojito looked to be cruising in for another win until she lost momentum just a short distance from the finish. Mojito dropped from first to fourth place and Vixen took the race.

Talkinghead and RB took advantage of Mojito’s troubles too and came in second and third respectively.

The series points for the IRC Division based on two discounts (assuming Race-7 and/or Race-8 take place on Dec 14) are Mojito (5), Vixen (6) and Talkinghead (9)—any of whom could win the series, but the main battle seems to be between Moijto and Vixen.

HKPN
Tara struggled to maintain her winning streak in the HKPN Division dropping to fourth and third places in Race-5 and -6 respectively. This let Bits & Pieces (second and first) and Goddess (third and second) close the gap.

The series points taking two discards into account are Tara (4), Bits & Pieces (8) and Goddess (9). So it all comes down to the results of the last two races.

Jazz (Justin Shave) did not compete in these two races pushing him down to fourth on 13 points. Jive (Alan Tse) had a good Race-5 taking the win, but is sitting on 18 points overall.

Next Race
The final two races of Hebe Haven Winter Saturday series take place on Saturday Dec 14.
